Day 84

Well ... the 84th moment has arrived!

And wouldn't you know ... she would spend it doing "summer requirements" ... yep ... finished reading her last book and doing a book report at 4pm this afternoon!! Oh well ... at least it's done!

... thought this was cute ... she looks as if to say, "finally, I'm finished"

It's been a good summer ... very busy ... and passed VERY fast ... wow! But ... onward we go ... 2nd grade! School starts tomorrow - even though she's a little apprehensive, she is still VERY excited!!!

I think her best memory of this summer - would be learning to swim! SO glad she finally agreed to lessons ... and now she LOVES it!!!

It's been a summer of moments - 84 of them ... and now ... School Year 2009/2010 - 2nd Grade, here we come!

Day 83

Today was registration at school ... very exciting ... we were up early and at school before 8am ... LeAnna was so excited to see her new classroom and her desk, and her cubby, and all the other classrooms, and the cafeteria, and on and on ...

I think she's excited to start 2nd grade!

Day 82

Cabin Fever has set in ... 5th day being sick ... however, she is much better today ... this morning LeAnna asked if she could have french toast from Sonic ... I obliged ... she was SO ready to leave the house! We came right back of course, but it was nice to see "sunlight" ... can't believe school starts this week! Our "summer moments" are almost over!!!!

This was one happy Sonic girl this morning!

Day 81

Doing better today ... still not feeling her best ... but better ... she at least looks a little better than the last few days ...

LeAnna and Nana made a strawberry cake this evening! That makes ME feel better!

Day 80

Well ... really sick today ... last night at midnight we ended up getting LeAnna out of bed and putting her in the shower so the steam could help open her up a bit ... she is miserable ... not a fun way to spend your last weekend before school starts! Oh well ... better now than to miss school next week!

Day 79

STILL feeling bad ... worse actually ... today the fever started and tonight ... well miserable!

Day 78

LeAnna went to bed last night complaining of a sore throat ... this morning she got up and ... uh-oh ... not feeling well at all!!! Made an appointment at the doc for a quick check since school is starting next week! And to my surprise - Strep Throat!!! YIKES!!!!

Day 77

LeAnna came home from Granny's today ... was home 5 minutes and she left with Nana and Judy for her last hoo-rah with them before school starts! They went to Chuck E. Cheese for the afternoon ... here's some fun pics to prove their fun filled day!

Day 76

Today LeAnna is at Granny's house ... her and Dawson and Jackson are having their last hoo-rah before school starts! Today Granny took them to Monkey Joe's ... and then they all spent the night again tonight!

Day 75

Today ... we found out who LeAnna's 2nd grade teacher is ... She's been excited all summer about "Ms. Stewart's 2nd grade class" ...


Believe it or not ... Ms. Green got moved up "again" to 2nd grade ... (she had her Kindergarten and then 1st) ... so LeAnna was torn when she found out Ms. Green got moved up ... she loves her so much ... however, she was very excited about Ms. Stewart's 2nd grade class ...


We got an email that the class assignments were being posted at school today on the door ...


so ... today was bittersweet ... when she found out that ... Ms. Stewart is her teacher!

Day 74

LeAnna spent the day at Granny's house ... after church this evening we went to McDonald's and this is what LeAnna wanted as her picture of the day ... she liked the light projection ... oh my ...

Day 73

LeAnna spent the day with Lexi today ... they played at her house and then went to a skating party with Lexi's church ... they had so much fun!

Kid's camp again today ... this is one of LeAnna's highlights ... she's not really big enough to go to "real camps" yet ... so this is fun to her!

Day 71

There is kid's camp at church today and tomorrow ... Daddy dropped LeAnna off early this morning so I didn't get any pics today of this event ... she had fun though!

Day 70

Today started our annual camp meeting at church ... this evening we went to TGI Friday's to eat dinner ... won't be long, and our little girls will be very big girls!!!! Oh my ...

Day 69

Today ... more homework ... and watching "Gilligan's Island" ... she loves that show! Jaden and Sopie got her hooked! =0)



Mommy was so busy that she didn't get her camera out today! Oops ... so no pic today ...



This evening we had music practice at church and she went to Kaitlyn's house and spent the night afterwards ...

Day 68

Summer Requirements! Yuck! Who ever heard of homework in the summer?! Oh well ... it must be done ... so today ... we're working on it! She had 5 chapter books to read and do book reports on ... 5 journals to fill out on events this summer ... and memorize all math facts from 0-18, addition and subtraction ... there will be a timed test the first week of school that will account for 1/3 of her grade for the first 9 weeks!

We've been working throughout the summer, but was NOT planning on having this much to do right here before school starts! oh well ...

Day 67

Today was Super Church at church ... this happens once a month ... Fishers of Men was the theme ... and for their "snack" - they had a cup of mud, dirt, and worms!

Day 66

Daddy and LeAnna spent the day together today since I had to work ... and since he didn't have a camera - there is no picture today ... and it would have been a perfect day for pictures with all the activities!

She went with her Sunday School class to Home Depot to make a craft at 10am ... then to Rivergate to Jake's birthday party at 11:30am ... then hung out with Daddy the rest of the day at church getting ready for next week ... busy day

Day 65

Today was Dawson's birthday party ... he wanted to play a game of baseball at his party - and that's what they did! I think they all had a great time!

Day 64

LeAnna is in two weddings in a few months ... so today we went to try on a dress ... she had so much fun doing this ... and she sure didn't want to take it off!

I can't wait to take some pictures of her all dressed up!

Nana went with us and we spent the day shopping ...

We finally found the perfect color pillows, etc. to complete LeAnna's "new look" in her bedroom ... this is something we've been trying to do for over a year now ... and LeAnna just couldn't decide on a bedspread/colors! AAHHHH!!!! So - finally!

and ... we got it all on sale - pieced it together from a couple of different stores and Nana made the curtain for less than $5 !!! Woo-hoo!

Day 63

LeAnna spent the night at Judy's house last night ... then spent the day with her ... she has such a good time when she's there ... however, I'm not sure if a picture was taken today ... =0)

She does have sweet memories though ...

the funny ... was that they went to Krystal for a midnight snack last night and didn't go to bed until 1am this morning! LeAnna called really late last night and said, "we're having a party and going to Krystal!" ... fun!

Day 62

Nana was off work today ... so her and LeAnna went shopping ... LeAnna is REALLY missing Coco and I think Nana is too ... so they came home with a low-maintenance pet ...

Day 61

Today is Dawson's birthday ...

his party is Friday but we were invited to go eat and do some bowling in honor of his big "10" today!!!

Day 60

This morning we went to church with Jan, Jimmy and the boys ... and then to eat at Pappasitos afterwards ... W00-Hoo for their food!!! YUM! Then some more shopping before heading home Sunday evening ... it was a nice little getaway!

Day 59

This morning we stopped by the "Dwarf House" for breakfast on our way to the Georgia Aquarium ... the world's largest! And man - it was awesome!!! We had a GREAT time!!! LeAnna said she was so glad we came and said she had the best time! =0)

We also did the Titanic Exhibit while we were at the Aquarium ... LeAnna actually enjoyed the history much to my surprise and asked tons of questions ... which was right up my alley!

Then to the American Girl store where Chrissa became a part of our family! LeAnna said this is the best store I've ever been to! I can only imagine how I would have felt at her age to be in a store like that ... it was very cool!

Then this afternoon Daddy took LeAnna swimming ...
